HARROGATE'S Pavilions complex, at the Great Yorkshire Showground, is to host the North Yorkshire Community Development Partnership's annual conference on Wednesday, June 4.
The meeting will examine the value of finding local solutions to local problems, and highlighting partnerships between councils, the public and voluntary sectors.
FLOWER FESTIVAL: The Women's Institute is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its North Yorkshire East Federation this year. To mark the occasion, a flower festival will be held in Sutton Park, at Sutton-on-the-Forest, near York, on June 28 and 29.
POLICE TALK: A serving police officer will give a talk at tomorrow's meeting of the NHS Retirement Fellowship, in Northallerton. The meeting will be in the Friarage Hospital at 2pm and all retired NHS workers are invited.
BASKETS ADVICE: Christine Martin will give a talk on hanging baskets at a meeting of the Hambleton and Richmondshire National Osteoporosis Society, at the Friary Hospital, Richmond, today, at 7pm. Admission is £1.50.
PICTURE PERFECT: Work by photographer Richard Ross goes on display in the Old School Arts Workshop, Middleham, from Thursday, May 22. It includes work from Devon and the Isle of Skye.
GOLDEN WEDDINGS: Ripon Cathedral will host its annual service for couples who have celebrated their golden wedding during the past year, on Sunday, June 15, at 3pm.
ANNUAL MEETING: Stapleton and Cleasby Parish Council will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, May 21, in St Peter's Church, Cleasby, at 7.30pm.
