RESIDENTS have responded enthusiastically to questionnaires about the future of their village.
Sheriff Hutton Parish Council has asked villagers what they see as the main priorities for the future. Councillor Alan Farnaby, parish clerk and Ryedale District Council member, said more than 400 replies have already been returned.
"It is a great response, which means the research will be very useful in producing a parish plan based on clear, factual guidance from parishioners. It will be an authoritative document for future plans and developments within Sheriff Hutton."
A steering group, set up to oversee the research, will now start to develop a strategy for the future, which should be completed by the end of the month.
