Tyne Tees Television has launched a new Internet service to teach people how to use British Sign Language (BSL).
The SignADay service - at www.signpostbsl.com - introduces a new BSL word or phrase every day.
The service is free to anyone with access to the Internet and will be supported by explanatory video pictures and text to explain the nuances of the language, which is the first language of about 70,000 deaf people in the UK.
