NORTH-EAST rock star Mark Knopfler has revealed he is back making music after a motorbike accident.
The former Dire Straits singer, who had to cancel a tour because of the accident in March, said that his injuries mean he is unable to stretch his arm around an acoustic guitar.
But he has recovered enough to perform again on an electric guitar.
Knopfler, 53, suffered a broken collarbone and six broken ribs after the collision between his Honda motorcycle and a car in central London.
Speaking about his recovery, the guitarist and singer said: "I am fine. I am playing again. I can get my arm around a solid-bodied guitar. I cannot manage an acoustic, but I am working on it."
