THE revolution in benefits payments will be fully explained at a Post Office roadshow in the North-East this week.
The Carry On Collecting roadshow arrives at the Captain Cook Shopping Centre, in Middlesborough, on Thursday before moving to Morrisons car park, Morton Park, Darlington, on Saturday.
Claimants will be able to find out more about how to collect their benefits from the Post Office since the Government began paying some benefits, pensions and tax credits into bank accounts in April.
Graham Halliday, the post office's financial and banking services director, said: "This is a really important time for the Post Office.
"It is vital our customers know what these changes to direct payment mean to them and how they can continue to collect their benefits in cash at Post Office branches if they choose to do so.
"The Carry on Collecting roadshow offers local people a chance to get more information about their options over a cup of tea.
"By choosing to use us, customers can help us secure a viable future for Post Office branches and the essential services they offer to all our customers."
