The first division programme began at the weekend and one game was staged on Saturday when Paragonians hosted Loftus.
The home side were all out for 72 as Dixon captured six wickets for 30 runs and J Morrison had three for 22.
Opening batsman Pearson led the Loftus reply batting throughout for an undefeated 25 and when Tyreman added 20, Loftus won losing just their four wickets.
On Sunday Ormesby Hall played Normanby Parklands and won by 98 runs after posting 169 for seven which included 76 by Brown. Normanby Parklands were all out for 71 with Wilkinson claiming three wickets without conceding a run. Norton lost six wickets before overtaking The Merlin total of 97. In a game dominated by bowlers none did better than Norton's Walker whose six wickets cost him 28 runs, while for The Merlin, Burton returned four for 30.
In division two Skelton Castle were all out in 24 overs for only 54 runs when they visited New Marske. Geoff Taggart took four for 21 in 12 overs, half of which were maidens. Andrew Hailstone had figures of four for 24 from 11 overs and Jerry Alderson picked up two wickets without conceding a run from the five balls he sent down.
In reply New Marske lost five wickets before celebrating victory as Chris Lightwing batted well for 38 which included a couple of boundaries.
Dormanstown lost by one wicket visiting Moorsholm. Batting first the visitors were all out for 99 as Burton took five for 43 and Allinson three for seven. When they went into bat Moorsholm also found run-making difficult, but Allinson came to the rescue scoring 30. Hatch almost won the game for Domanstown when he claimed five wickets for a mere 19 runs.
Rain prevented any play in the games between Boosbeck and Cowpen Bewley and Ormesby Hall and Normanby Parklands.
