Shoppers have been given more tasty choices and better service following the investment of £800,000 into one of the county's supermarkets.
Improvements to the Co-op store at Endeavour Wharf, in Whitby, include a 4,400 sq ft extension of the warehouse to house more food and non-food goods.
CAR RALLY: The Yorkshire Dales MG Owners Club will hold its spring rally at Kiplin Hall, on Sunday. Other marques will be joining the concourse by invitation. Cars are expected to begin arrriving at about 3pm.

FOOTBALL JOY: The under-15 football team at Northallerton College has won the Hambleton and Richmondshire area cup, beating Easingwold School 3-1 in the final last week.
YORK RACES: Various restrictions have been placed on roads around York racecourse while horse racing takes place. The waiting of vehicles has been prohibited along Knavesmire Road, Racecourse Road, Campleshon Road, Knavesmire Avenue, Albemarle Road, Knavesmire Crescent and Bishopthorpe Road. The restrictions will apply until 8pm on Thursday.
