Willington Ladies League: There were three surprise results in the quarter finals of the Darts Team Knock Out, where the only match to go to league placing form was the home win by Cottles over the Black Horse A.
The biggest surprise came at Willington Black Horse B, who finished at the foot of the table, when they pulled off an odd point victory over Willington Club A, who finished near the top. Things did not go well for Willington Club when their B team, who won the Darts League Championship by sixteen points, were beaten at Sunnybrow Brown Trout. Hunwick Joiners Arms completed the trio when they beat Willington Market, who had finished above them in the final table.
Results: Sunnybrow Brown Trout 2 Willington Club B 2; Willington Black Horse B 2 Willington Club A 1; Willington Cottles 2 Willington Black Horse A 1; Willington Market 1 Hunwick Joiners Arms 2.
The draw for the semi-finals is: Hunwick Joiners Arms v Willington Black Horse B and Sunnybrow Brown Trout v Willington Cottles.
Crook League
Crook White Swan pulled off the surprise result in the First Round of the competition when they went to Crook Belle Vue and won for the loss of only four points. The pool points were shared with Ian Hodkinson, Pip Samson and Paul Morgan winning for the Club, whilst Les Sanderson, Lee Airey and Andrew Finch replied. However the tie was decided on the dominoes table, where the Club, who lead the Crook League table, could only manage one singles point through John Warriner, whilst John Varley, Les Sanderson Lee Airey and Darren Alderson took the Swan sailing into the next round.
In the Second Division section, Crook Coach and Horses B only dropped one point on their visit to Crook Surtees, who had Howard Trotter as their only point scorer on the pool table. The Coach had pool wins from Johnny Mason, Darren Tinkler and David Stephenson with Les Scott, Raoul Moses, Peter Holliday and Peter Parker adding the necessary dominoes points.

The last eight of the fives and threes pairs knockout competition will be played down to one winner of Friday, May 16 at the Caledonian. MC Mr I Walker. Deadline 8pm. Substitutes are not allowed.
