The Readers Durham County League, Under-18s: Craig Usher hit the first ball he received for six and Trimdon five boundaries scoring 27 as Ushaw Moor totalled 86 against Willington. Craig Wilson added 22 but Willington went on to win by six wickets.

Evenwood lost just one wicket defeating Mainsforth who were restricted to 68 for nine by the bowling of Lee Forster, who claimed four wickets for 24 runs in five overs and Chris Pareth whose three overs spell earned him three for 11.

Pareth then starred with the bat hitting no fewer than ten boundaries in an unbeaten 51.

Bishop Auckland had 103 runs to spare at home to Newton Aycliffe after posting 152 for four and at Brandon, Crook Town won by six wickets.

Chris Guy returned outstanding figures of six for ten from five overs as Brandon were all out for 50 which included 22 by Stephen Parnaby. When Crook went in to bat Jamie Robinson captured two for 13 in five overs but the visitors won losing just four wickets in 16.4 overs.

Esh Winning also recorded a good victory at Langley Park. Wilkinson (25) and Coates (27) enabled Roundhay to reach 74 despite Karl Turner taking three for 15 and Scott Kimmons two for 17. Responding, Esh romped to victory as Turner completed a good night striking four sixes and two boundaries in 40 not out and Chris Hurst added a valuable 27 runs.

Fosters Northumbria Tyneside Senior League

Under-15s

Marcus Peart was in splendid form for Burnopfield but his efforts were in vain as the game at neighbours Lintz was abandoned because of rain.

Peart carried his bat for 70 and Adam Tinnian contributed 42 to the Burnopfield total of 148 for three but with Lintz on 42 for three the weather intervened.

Blaydon bowled out Greenside for 51 and won by eight wickets. Michael Banks, Little, Carr and Gaston were all among the wickets for Blaydon and in reply Andrew Johnson led the visitors to victory carrying his bat for 27.

Ryton overtook the wickets total of 105 for three with six of their wickets left. Brent (41) and Lewis Barr (22) were both in form with the bat for Ryton and for the home side Radford took two of the four wickets to fall for just 17 runs.

Batting first, Whickham finished with 105 for three of which Jeff Bowman scored 63 and in the Ryton attack Lewis Barr bowled well capturing two for 20.

Shotley Bridge totalled 109 for five and then restricted Swalwell to 35 for six while at Sacriston, Lanchester were well beaten.

Craig Burke scored 80 of the Sacriston total of 123 for three with two of the wickets falling to Glen Harrison for 25 runs.

Lanchester failed to mount a serious challenge as Chris Tilley and Simon Wilson both picked up two wicket at economical cost.

There was no play in the game between Annfield Plain and Crookhall because the ground was unfit following rain.

George Peacock Memorial Cup

Because of the weather, only one tie went ahead and Eppleton easily accounted for Felling when runs were at a premium.

Felling were all out for just 23 as Atkinson captured four for seven and in reply the visitors lost three wickets all to John Tennant for seven runs.

The game between Gateshead Fell and Hetton Lyons did no go ahead because the Lyons could not field a side but the other four ties were all called off because grounds were unfit.
