Rohm and Haas JOC Hetton Youth League
Lumley finally clinched the championship when they went into their final game of the season needing just one point. In the event, they defeated fellow challengers Herrington 5-0 after establishing a two goals interval lead through Michael Collins and John Lidster.
When Lidster made it three early in the second period there was no way back for Herrington and Lumley romped home with further goals from Mark Younger and an own goal.
Herrington though can still finish runners-up. They have two games in hand, one at Jarrow St Bedes who are a couple of points better off while Ryhope are currently third just a single point ahead of Herrington and they too have played two games more.
Dunlop will finish bottom of the table despite drawing 1-1 with Lambton Street in their penultimate fixture. David Old was their only marksman.
Washington are currently minus two points after having nine deducted for early season infringements.
Ryhope reached the final of the League Cup defeating Jarrow St Bedes 4-1 when all the goals were scored during the second 45 minutes. Shaun Petch, Richard Hall, Paul Fenwick and Mark Egglestone were on target for Ryhope.
New County North Durham Youth League
Birtley, who currently head the Under-16 division, failed to make it into the final of the League Shield when they were beaten 2-1 by Cleveland Hall.
Birtley have completed their league programme and are eight points ahead of first placed Leam Rangers, who have three games in hand. Blaydon are third ten points adrift of Birtley with both teams having completed their fixtures.
If Leam Rangers win all three games, therefore, they would finish with 45 points and take the championship.
In the Under-17 division Leam Rangers and Blackfyne are fighting it out for the title. Currently Leam Rangers have a two points advantage over Blackfyne and also have a game in hand on their rivals.
Leam Rangers had to work hard, however, for a narrow 4-3 victory over West Denton when Glen Urwin, Graham McTear, Anthony Hetherington and Nicky Langston were on target. Ben Dixon, John Pendlebury and Kevin Robinson replied for West Denton.
Montagu hit Wear Valley with a 6-1 as Stephen Buzzeo rifled a hat-trick and Felling edged Redheugh 3-2 when Craig Stewart, Anthony Thompson and Stephen Richardson all found the net. Graham McTaggart and Aiden Atkinson netted for the Reds.
Fairs Software Tyneside Junior League
Walker Central need to win their last two games of the season against Whitley Bay and Prudhoe Town in order to qualify for a play-off for the championship with Redheugh, who have completed their programme.
The Reds came out on top by an only when they played Walker Central and are six points in front although their rivals have two games in hand.
The only other game played was that between Whitley Bay and New Hartley which the visitors won 5-2 when David Hope bagged a brace of goals for New Hartley.
Chester-le-Street who have led the table for a long period have lost out on the title and may not even finish runners-up if Walker Central enjoy success in their final two matches.
Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League
The season in the Under-11 division was completed with Hebburn Reyrolle playing the only game at the weekend when they hosted Redheugh and won 2-1 when Stuart Smith bagged a brace of goals.
Heworth finished champions five points ahead of Low Fell with Blackfyne third six points adrift of the title winners.
In the Under-12 section Leam Rangers Y have a single point lead over Chopwell and are two points in front of Whickham Fellside R. All three clubs have two fixtures to play.
Leam Rangers Y just edged Blackfyne 3-2, Chopwell ran out easy 7-0 winners at Consett when Lee Best and Glen Caygill both scored twice while Whickham Fellside R also collected the points with a 4-0 success at home to Redheugh when Lewis McKay also found the net on two occasions.
In other games played at Under-12 level Leam Rangers G drew 2-2 with Swalwell, Beamish hit Low Fell 3-0 and Cleveland Hall took the points with a single goal victory at Winlaton.
The Under-12 division completed the programme two weeks ago with Redheugh as champions. They ended 11 points clear of Low Fell B.
At Under-13 level there are still a number of matches to play and at present Redheugh have a single point lead over Blaydon who in the only game staged on Sunday, hammered Blackfyne 7-2. Sean Segers, John Rogers and Craig Watson all scored twice for Blaydon.
Blaydon were also successful in the Under-15 League Cup final when they defeated Cleveland Hall 3-1 with strikes by Carl Piecha (2) and Lee Craggs. Keith Carson hit the Hall's only goal from the penalty spot. Blaydon are now unbeaten in the league and league cup competitions during the last two-and-a-half years.
One game went ahead in the Under-15 division with Blackfyne defeating Rutherford 6-2. Tony O'Brien scored twice for Blackfyne.
By defeating Cleveland Hall in the cup final Blaydon have completed a league and cup double. Although Cleveland Hall have one game to play they are nine points behind Blaydon, who have completed their fixtures.
