Darlington RFC hosted their 29th Festival of Junior Rugby at Blackwell Meadows last weekend. Clubs from all over the North took part in age groups from nine to 16 with well over 1,000 payers taking part.
The Mayor presented some of the trophies, including the fair play award for each age group.
The festival was sponsored by Sanderson Townsend and Gilbert, Nick and Gordon Carver, Hosch (GB), Royal Bank of Scotland, Gentle Dental Care, Lightening Signs, Bondgate Round Table and Cleveland Data Service.
Darlington were well represented in all age groups and won five of them.

Bondgate Round Table Under-10s: winners Percy Park, runners-up Guisborough; plate: Houghton; fair play: Pocklington.
Lightening Signs Under-11s: winners Westoe, runners-up Darlington; plate: West Hartlepool; fair play: Acklam.
Gentle Dental Care Under-12s: winners: Darlington; runners-up: West Hartlepool; plate: Malton and Norton; fair play: Westoe.
Royal Bank of Scotland Under-13s: winners Darlington; runners-up Darlington Mowden Park; plate: Middlesbrough; fair play: Middlesbrough.
Hosch (GB) Under 14s: winners Darlington, runners-up Guisborough; plate: West Hartlepool; fair play: Darlington.
Nick and Gordon Carver Under-15s: winners Middlesbrough, runners-up Baildon; plate: Guisborough; fair play: Greenock Wanderers.
Sanderson Townsend and Gilbert Under-16s: winners Darlington, runners-up Percy Park; plate: Darlington Mowden Park; fair play: Baildon.
