THREE firms have teamed up with Age Concern to offer "silver surfers" a free tour of the World Wide Web.
Microsoft, Cable and Wireless and UK Online have all jumped on board to provide thousands of older people with the chance to sample what is available online with a free Internet taster session at 75 locations across the UK.
The Silver Surfers Festival is a month-long national campaign to promote the relevance and benefits of the Internet to older people and to provide free Internet access and training.
