The two First Division games played on Sunday, there was a ten-goal thriller between high-flying Nestfield and relegation threatened Brinkburn.
With Brinkburn creating early pressure and a mix up in the Nestfield defence resulted in an own goal, the home side doubled their lead when Scott Bowley ran on to a great through ball from Anth Thorns.
The visitors came back to make it 2-1, Bowley scored his second to restore the two goal advantage, Nestfield came back with a penalty to make it 3-2, Anth Thorns found the net to make it 4-2, Stuart Alderson looked to have made the game safe when he scored to make it 5-2, but in the second half the visitors brought the score back to 5-4, but when Bowley completed his hat-trick and ensured Brinkburn will be playing first division football next season and sending Bishop Auckland Cricket Club into division two.

In the other game champions Coundon Forresters the only unbeaten team in the division lost their 100 per cent record to the improving Shuttle and Loom. Coundon took the lead early in the game with Steven Baker scoring, but the home side came back strongly and a quick fire double from Kev Baines put them 2-1 in front at the break. In the second half Coundon had the strong wind at their backs but could not convert any of their chances and the Shuttle had the opportunities to add to their score, but had to settle for a 2-1 win.
Champions of Division Two Killinghall Arms showed their class and send the Grey Horse into Division Three with a 10-0 win goals from Richie Snowdon, Mike Robson, Martin Gayles, Philip Reynolds, Mike Smith, Danny Fleary, Chris Jordinon and a hat-trick from Michael Claxton.
Bishop Auckland Derby overcame Yates Wine Lodge 7-1 with goals from Kevin McCormick, Darren Dye, Keith Hirst and four from Wayne King, the consolation from Yates was scored by Paul Spinks.
A close game between Sadberge and the Jack Horners had the visitors coming away with a 3-2 victory, Gary Bowman found the net twice for Sadberge, but goals from Andy Vernon, Neil Blewitt and Paul Scott saw the Jacks home. In the other game of the day in Division Two Royal British Legion won 2-1 at Canney Hill.
In Divison Three Pepper Draughting Services got back on track after a surprise midweek defeat to beat the Royal Oak 6-0 and clinch the championship.
Middleton St George continued their good run of form against FR Aviation. John Sunter ended his eight game drought with a cool finish to break the deadlock. FR equalised through Alan Percival, MSG came back with a second goal for Sunter just before the break, the home side dominated play in the second half and Phil Liversedge sealed the 3-1 victory.
The Hope Inn continued their push for second place as they beat the Falchion 3-1. The visitors didn't have it all their own way as the Falchion defended well, Stu Hardy gave the Hope the lead and the score remained 1-0 at the interval. The home side equalised when Mike Watt cross was turned in at their near post by James Benson, Hardy put the Hope back in front and then late in the game completed his hat-trick.
Sherwoods lost their final game of the season 6-1 against Haughton BAT who are still looking to get promotion. In game badly affected by the windy conditions Haughton moved into a 2-1 half time lead with Gary Barker scoring for the home side. In the second half Haughton took control of the game with four more goals to run out comfortable winners, Wayne Spooner, Dave Carroll, Andy MacLoud, Paul Cooper and two from Mark Legg completed the scoring for the visitors.
Axa Insurance and Pizza Perfekt played out a 3-3 draw. Axa went into their final game of the season having scored only two goals and picking up one point in their last six games, and the visitors were attempting to seal promotion. Despite their recent form Axa with several regulars missing, started well and were 2-0 in front by half time with goals from Dean Scott and Dave Aiken.
In the second half the Pizzaboyz stepped up a gear and drew level with goals from Michael Weston and Michael Bateman. Axa reacted well and went back into the lead when Dave Vayro, after seeing his first two attempts blocked, forced ball over the line to make the score 3-2 to Axa, then with only two minutes remaining Weston scored his second of the game to level the scores.
Emcor struggled against the conditions in the first half and Drinkfield took the lead through Christopher Baines, the score remained 1-0 to the visitors up to the break.
The second half was a different story with Emcor creating a number of chances and an equaliser came after Simon Broughton found Darren Scott who beat the Drinkfield keeper to equalise, more pressure followed and with the conditions now in Emcor's favour Darren Scott put the home side in front for the first time, Stu Fawcett added a third for Emcor, and with a rare goal Aiden Tate celebrated his 21st birthday after latching on to Nigel Rea through ball, giving Emcor every chance of clinching promotion with their final game of the season.
Smith and Allan and the Cricketers played out a 2-2 draw.
