Black Horse 4 v 3 North Skelton: With just one game to go, the Black Horse finally broke their duck picking up their first league win of the season against North Skelton.
The Billingham side did it the hard way having to recover from a 3-1 deficit at half time before hitting back with an inspired second half performance.
North Skelton took an early lead before Richard Daniel brought the Black Horse back level. Two goals before the break however put North Skelton in the driving seat and another defeat looked to be on the cards for the Black Horse.
Ged Moran started them on the comeback trail when he pulled a goal back early in the second period and it was Mark Dixon who brought them level. Ten minutes from time it was all smiles for the Black Horse when Kirk Harrison slotted the ball home for what proved to be the winner.
Coulby Newham 3 v 0 Stokesley 0
Coulby led at the break when Dave Hanley scored from the edge of the area. Within two minutes of the restart, Coulby increased their lead through Mark Sowerby and but for the heroics of Gary Cairns in goal, they might well have run riot.
In the event, the only other goal of the game came from Martin McManus who volleyed home Coulby's third.
M'bro St Mary's Coll OB 8 v 1 North Skelton FC
Two first half goals from Mark Elliott set the College on their way to a comprehensive victory against North Skelton.
Elliott latched on to a through-ball before stroking home the opening goal and he sidefooted home a cross from Dave Weston for his second.
St. Marys went into overdrive in the second half with Eddy Johnstone scoring twice and Dave Aspery, Glen Bennett, Phil Bellamy and Craig Silloth also among the goals.
NS Bulls Head FC 0 v 2 Thornaby Mandale
Champions Thornaby Mandale got back to winning ways in the league as they look to prepare for the final week of the season.
Bulls Head offered stern resistance during most of the first half but on the stroke of half time, Bradley Murray put Mandale ahead. The second half continued in similar vein with Alan Kyme and Kevin Legg picking up the man of the match awards for their respective sides.
Fifteen minutes from time, Murray put any hopes that Bulls might have had of taking a point from the game when he broke through to score his second of the game.
M'brough Post Office 5 v 1 Redcar CO
It was a mixed week for Coke Ovens with two 5-1 defeats against Ennis Square and the Post Office sandwiching a 4-1 win over South Bank United.
Two goals from Ian Mills gave Post Office an excellent start and although the Coke Ovens pulled one back, John Leach restored the home sides two goal advantage when he beat the offside trap before rounding the keeper.
Five minutes from half time, Post Office keeper Alan Wigglesworth denied Coke Ovens from the penalty spot by diving to his right to put the ball on to the post.
Wayne Murphy increased the Post Office lead early in the second half and with 15 minutes to go, Scott Heslop completed the scoring following good work from Ian Pinchbeck.
Stockton Elementis 2 v 9 B&H Kings Head FC
Elementis paid the penalty for starting the game shorthanded and in no time at all they were two goals down.
Even with a full comlement, things did not get much better with the King's Head taking a 5-0 lead by the interval.
The visitors scored a sixth before Elementis discovered their scoring boots when Mark Allinson set up Steve Darbyshire and they also scored a second thanks to a well struck half volley from John Angus.
Kings Head meanwhile kept up the pressure hitting three more before full time.
The Guisborough side now only need a point from their remaining fixture to secure the runners up spot.
Thornaby Village 6 The Grenadier 3
Thornaby Villgage rounded off their league program with a fine win although they had to drag themselves back into the game after throwing away a two goal lead.
Paul Jennison found the top corner of the net for the Village opener and ten minutes later Dean Melville showed great composure before adding a second to put the home side in strong position.
The Grenadier however, had other ideas and three goals in quick succession saw them take the lead before half time.
Dean Melville brought the Village back on level terms with second half just minutes old but it was two goals from Geoff Belt that effectively settled the outcome of the game.
Shortly before the full time whistle, Gareth Evans made it 6-3 to set the Village up for their Cliff Wells Cup Final in midweek.
