Saint Peters Low Fell went to the coast in the League Cup semi-final against Whitley Bay Churches.
In a very hard fought match Andy Watson scored in the 90th minutes for St Peters with them waiting for the referee to blow the final whistle he popped up to make the final score 2-0.
In Division One Metro Church Sunderland secured three points with a 5-3 win over Stakeford Methodist Church. In the meantime, Jesmond Parish Church were winning 2-0 at Ryton Churches.
Ryan Pender and Jon Boyd scored twice with Noel Harrison getting the fifth Billy Baxter and Graeme Barr netting for Stakeford.
Jesmond had Kieron McGrane and Andy Porter score for them.
With the league going into three leagues next season the break-off point is sixth place with five teams vying for two places. Airport Church Newcastle confirmed fifth place with a 3-1 win at Monkwearmouth Christians. Elliott Ord opened the scoring for Monkwearmouth. Kris Lawton tied the match at half-time. Steven Taylor and Ben Oliver gave Airport the win.
In Division Two Yarm Emmanuel moved into fifth place leading 2-1 at half-time against City Church Newcastle, David McQuillian and Tim Boyes netted for Yarm. Matthew Elliott got City Church's goal. Paul Bond made the score 2-2 after the break. Tim Boyes went on to get his hat-trick and give Yarm a 4-2 win.
