PUPILS have celebrated the end of their school year in style.
Year 11 students from Hurworth Comprehensive School, near Darlington, who will be leaving once they have completed their GCSE exams, enjoyed a US-style prom event at Walworth Castle, near Heighington.
More than 100 16-year-olds hired stretch limousines and donned their best outfits for the party, which included dinner and a disco.
The youngsters elected Jakinder Toor and Caroline Nicholson to be the Prom King and Queen, with Jonathan Kingsley and Lizzie Kershaw as the Prince and Princess.
It is the tenth year students have organised the prom to mark the end of the school year.
