YOUNGSTERS in Norton have got together to make a film with a little help from the town's mayor.
The 40 youngsters, from five different schools, have already developed the characters and written the screenplay and are now acting, directing and shooting the film.
Andy Joyce, from the Write to Read literacy project said: "The story is a romantic comedy about a secret agent who will stop at nothing to rescue a hostage and capture an evil baddie.
"Write to Read aims to help people improve their creative language skills through enjoyable activities. Making a film is great fun and we are all learning a lot too."
Councillor Jean O'Donnell, the mayor of Stockton, will be acting take part in her scene at Stockton's Town Hall tomorrow.
Mr Joyce said: "There are lots of things to do including; designing film posters and making the soundtrack, as well as acting, filming and editing.
"This is a very popular and successful way of improving people's skills, and together we can make Stockton a centre of creative communication."
