Reporters, editors and sub-editors at a primary school have made a real splash in an international competition.
The children of Northgate Junior School in Guisborough were one of 46 schools out of 2,500 to receive a distinction for their school newspaper.
Their achievement was even more impressive considering the Time Education Supplement Competition received entries from as far away as Australia and Kuala Lumpur.
The youngsters had to hold the front page for their story about teacher Kate Limbert who had her head-shaved for Comic Relief in front of the school assembly.
She said: "It was a fantastic effort by everyone involved. Our editor was Hannah Parkin, the sub-editor was Rebecca Ballard and they both worked really hard. Our chief reporter, Andrew Kidd, sent an enormous amount of copy and was excellent, but, really, everyone involved did extremely well.
"We had about 15 children from the top two years and they all put the effort in.
"We're especially pleased because this is the second time we've received a distinction for our paper. I think the whole team would like to thank year six teacher Fiona O'Reardon-Boyle for helping us."
Kate Limbert, who runs an after-school computer course where the newspaper was put together, said that her head-shave raised £230 towards the £855 raised by the school for Comic Relief.
Redcar and Cleveland Council IT department also helped with the paper.
