ONE of North Yorkshire's museum's is planning to expand - and to do so it needs more volunteers.
Bedale Museum is bidding for National Lottery cash for a new building this summer.
The scheme will see the 30-year-old facility move from its base in Bedale Hall into a purpose-built unit.
The move would provide a larger base for the expanding collections and enable the museum to offer a wider range of services, including workshops for schools, lectures, exhibitions and research facilities.
"This is an exciting development but we need help to get it off the ground," said Hambleton and Richmondshire museums officer Lynda Powell.
"We are particularly looking for someone with marketing and fundraising skills."
Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to contact Ms Powell on (01748) 829100.
