A disabled child is making progress thanks to the love and support of her fundraising family and friends.
Doctors cannot diagnose a cause for four-and-a-half-year-old Chloe Harrison's inability to walk or talk. She also has epilepsy.
Her mother, Claire Evans, 30, says Chloe is making progress thanks to a visit to a therapy centre in Somerset, with money raised by family, friends and well wishers.
"It's times like these you see how good people are; when you need it,'' she said. "And they have been wonderful."
Her family have also took part in fundraising. Children at the babygym class, in Stockton Sports Centre, held a sponsored toddle and people ran the Great North Run for for the youngster.
A total of £2,700 was raised towards finding a solution to Chloe's problems. Later this month, Chloe and her mother will return to the Brainwave Charity's centre, in Somerset, for an assessment.
"She cannot walk and cannot talk, but she still manages to communicate,'' said Ms Evans. "Don't ask me how, but you manage to know what she wants, when she wants it."
