THREE of North Yorkshire's gardens will be open to the public this Sunday in aid of the St John Ambulance.
Arden Hall, at Hawnby, near Helmsley, has grounds which include a magnificent ancient yew hedge and a laburnum walk which will be a riot of colour.
Rudding Park, three miles outside Harrogate, is opening for the charity for the first time. It has acres of grounds to walk in, with masses of rhododendrons and azaleas.
Coverham Abbey, at Middleham, near Leyburn, is also opening its gardens for St John for the first time.
From 2pm to 7.30pm, there will also be other delights, including a Burril traction engine and a Gavioli organ.
