CHILDREN at an infants school can let off steam thanks to a new adventure trail.
After months of fundraising, pupils at Ouston Infant School, near Chester-le-Street, have more opportunities to climb, jump, clamber, run and swing, with the creation of a new wooden adventure trail. It consists of stepping stones, balance beams, a clamber frame and flexi-bridge. The remainder of the playground has been fenced off to allow pupils to take part in other activities or for quiet time. Various grants were secured for the play equipment and parents and friends of the school have been busy fund-raising over the last year.
The project was given a £700 boost by Durham County Council.
