A TOP hotelier has been appointed to spearhead the regeneration of Scarbrorough.
Nick Taylor, general manager of the resort's prestigious Royal Hotel, has been named as the new town renaissance manager in a multi-million pound initiative being funded by Yorkshire Forward, the regional development agency.
Mr Taylor, who previously ran the Crown Hotel on Scarborough's Esplanade, said: "We must set our sights on being known as a world-class town, and having the facilities and attitudes that go with that reputation."
