Surgeons yesterday operated on a man who suffered serious head injuries in a collision with a bus on a pedestrian crossing.
Cleveland Police said the 62-year-old, from Ferryhill, County Durham, stepped out just as the single decker bus reached a crossing in Wilson Street, Middlesbrough, at 11.30am yesterday. They want to speak to the passengers who were on the bus.
