TWENTY athletes from around Darlington took part in the annual mini-triathlon at Hummersknot school yesterday.
Members of Darlington Rotary Club faced the Bondgate Round Table in the competition which combined a three-mile run, 14-mile cycle and 20 lengths of the school swimming pool.
The overall winner was 26-year-old Nick Clark, of Darlington, who was running for the Round Table.
Mr Clark, who won the inaugural event last year, also helped the Round Table be named as the top team.
Darlington's new mayor, Ron Lewis, watched the event and handed out the prizes as one of his first official duties.
All the money raised by the teams will go to help Darlington charities and groups.
