NEARLY 2,000 model Porsches are to go under the hammer when one of the largest collections in the world comes up for sale.
The models were owned by the late Charles Kuell, former president of the Porsche Club of America, and are to be sold by Teesside auctioneers Vectis.
Model car expert Andy Reed said: "This is an amazing collection of Porsches and there is something for every Porsche enthusiast.
"It is a fascinating collection which ranges from 550 racing models, through to Le Mans racing cars and 911 road cars, with comprehensive variations of all models."
Some 200 items from the collection will be on display at the Porsche club headquarters in Marsh, Gloucestershire, from to June 1 to July 7 before the sale in Buckingham on July 10.
Charles Kuell was a New York State land surveyor and had a lifelong interest in Porsches. He died in 2001, aged 83, after collecting model Porsches for more than 40 years.
