Auckland CIU League: The final of the team Knockout will be between Cockton Hill and West Auckland to be played over a two leg home and away match.
West Auckland won their way through by beating Tindale Crescent in a much easier manner than Cockton Hill's progress.
Cockton Hill travelled to Horndale for the first leg as favourites but went down 17-8 but pulled off a Houdini act in the return leg when they won by the same score to force a play-off. The play-off involved all five captain's playing each other at their particular game and Cockton Hill came through when they won the darts, dominoes and pool, whilst dropping the whist and the fives and threes.
Willington Ladies League
The shocks in the Team Knockout were not continued into the semi-finals where the teams who finished higher in the final league table came through. Hunwick Joiners Arms travelled to Willington Black Horse A and won without dropping a point, whilst Sunnybrow Brown Trout saw off the visiting Willington Cottles by the odd point.
The draw for the First Round of the dominoes Knock Out is Willington Cottles v Willington Burn and Willington Black Horse A v Willington Club B.

Ferryhill made their best start to the darts section of the new season for many years when they whitewashed the visiting Prospect. Roy Brown hit a maximum for the home side with Tony Nixon finishing on twelve darts with a 155 check out. The only other player to hear the magic cry of "180" was Colin Barron of Crowtrees but he saw his team go down by the odd point to the visiting Newfield.
