RESIDENTS are being urged to take a close look at road safety proposals that have been put forward for their area.
The plans have been put forward following growing concern about speeding traffic in Beverley Road and Langton Road, Norton, near Malton. Some of the suggested solutions include speed cushions, mini-roundabouts and safety chicanes. Also proposed is a 20mph speed limit on a section of Langton Road, near Norton School. The plans will go on display today at the library and information centre, in Commercial Street. Those who study them will be asked to fill in a questionnaire. The exhibition continues until Friday.
