POLICE have warned hotels and guesthouses to be on the alert for a con man who has already left a number of businesses out of pocket after staying with them for a few days.
Giving the name David Taylor or Richard Healey, the man left without settling his bill at premises in Ribblesdale and Selby in North Yorkshire - and officers are worried he may strike again.
Wanted by two other forces for similar offences elsewhere in the UK, the man police are hunting is about 5ft 10ins, 40, with sandy-coloured hair.
He speaks with a northern accent and drives a black, diesel Peugeot car, registered N421 DWE.
Anyone who knows where he is staying or may have seen him within the past few days is urged to call (01609) 783131.
