ABOUT £20,000 worth of property stolen from across the North has been recovered by police.
Car stereos, a security video recorder, computers, sim cards from mobile phones and an industrial drill were seized during raids in Middlesbrough on a suspected receiver of stolen goods. Police also seized £4,500 in cash.
Six people were arrested, including the target's partner and brother.
Some of the recovered items were stolen in domestic and commercial burglaries and robberies across Durham and Northumberland.
Five hundred Ecstasy tablets were also found at one of the houses raided.
Many of the items are to be reunited with their rightful owners as they had been postcoded.
Acting Detective Sergeant Mark Dimelow said: "CID will be targeting more and more dealers in the coming months."
