A CHARITY football match has been organised to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The match takes place at the Hall Lane ground, Willington, on Sunday, May 25, kick off 7.15pm and has been organised by Chris Russell, an employee of the Marks and Spencer store in Durham.
Mr Russell's Aunt Linda was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis six years ago.
The match will be between Marks and Spencer stores in Durham and Middlesbrough.
Linda, 46, whose son, Paul, also an employee with Marks and Spencer in Durham, will play in the game and Linda said: "Multiple sclerosis affects people in different ways and there's lots of unseen symptoms.
"It's very unpredictable and fatigue plays a major part.
"I had to give up full-time employment and am trying to build my life around it."
Support is welcome for the game where refreshments during and after the match will be available.
