The Princess Royal is set to visit the North East next week to open a prestigious new quayside development.
The Staithes area of Blyth in Northumberland has been transformed in recent years and she will see for herself the spectacular redevelopment of the port's waterfront on Wednesday.
Princess Anne will unveil a piece of public art called Spirit of the Staithes during her visit.
She will also officially open the new national headquarters of the New and Renewable Energy Centre which is based in Blyth.
