EX-PUPILS of a former secondary modern school which served a number of villages to the west of Durham City are invited to a reunion.
The reunion is planned for former pupils of Waterhouses Secondary Modern School, on Friday July 18, at 7pm. It will be held in the new section of what is now Esh Winning Primary School, Community Centre and Library, in Esh Winning, the neighbouring village to Waterhouses.
The school opened in 1935 and served as a secondary modern until the 1970s when pupils were transferred to Deerness Valley Comprehensive, at Ushaw Moor.
Depending on the response, priority may be given to those who left between 1952 and 1954.
Further details are available from Vince Clarkson, on 0191-373 0645, or 01484 656621.
