AN evening of drama, dance, film, animation and art celebrating the regeneration of a Darlington estate will take place next month.
The Firthmoor Oratorio, which will be staged at the town's Civic Theatre on Monday, June 9, is the culmination of a three-year arts project aimed at showing the positive changes Firthmoor estate has seen in recent years.
An over-60s group which meets at the community centre has worked with an animation artist on video footage and pupils from St Teresa's, St John's and Firthmoor primary schools have written songs for the show.
Funding and help has been provided by Darlington Building Society and Firthmoor Community Partnership Board.
The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £2 for adults and £1 for children. They are available from the theatre box office on (01325) 486555.
