TWO senior officers have been appointed to help Richmondshire District Council improve access to its services.
Carole Dew, who has been promoted to head of community offices, will expand the role of the council's community offices and reception areas.
Simon Fletcher has been appointed head of information and administration to manage the authority's administrative staff, supporting those delivering key services.
Carole Dew joined the council in 2000 as a cashier at the Leyburn Community Office before moving to a management post in central administration. She will now lead a team of 12 staff.
Simon Fletcher joins the authority from his post as communications and administration manager for the Japanese chemical manufacturer, Nippon Gohsei UK, during which time he was based in Japan and the UK.
The council has drawn up a publication scheme giving details of information that it publishes or intends to publish, which is now available from the authority's offices.
