Thirsk Sharks defeated Leos Ladies in the final of the North Riding Sevens competition at Scarborough earlier this month.
After an unbeaten run through the early rounds, which saw them concede only one try, Thirsk went into the final as favourites.
They did not disappoint, producing a convincing display to runaway with the 20-minute match, winning 56-0.
The team, who had been assigned Scarborough Rowing Club as their sponsor for the day, were thrilled with the result.
It was the first sevens competition entered by the team as Thirsk Sharks.
The team's vice-captain and captain on the day, Jane Lennox, was awarded player of the tournament, while her team-mate Sarah Beale was awarded player of the final by the sponsors.
Thirsk gratefully received their trophy and the £250 prize money which is especially appreciated as a contribution to the travelling expenses incurred by the team while competing nationally in the league.
