A COMMUNITY training centre has closed with the loss of ten jobs.
The Richard Hind Centre in Stockton has gone into administration.
A statement released yesterday said: "The board of the Richard Hind Centre has been forced to close the centre due to financial difficulties, with the loss of ten jobs."
Ian Thompson, head of regeneration and economic development at Stockton Borough Council, said: "Advising accountants Taylor Rowlands of Yarm have been appointed to advise and assist with insolvency matters for the board. Stockton Council will work with them to move the matter forward.
"The building will be closed and the council will try and help organisations running activities at the centre to relocate them to suitable alternative accommodation. Those taking part in these activities should contact the organising body for details.''
The centre was home to a number of community colleges run in conjunction with Stockton Riverside College.
