A SERIES of multi-cultural art workshops will be taking place in Hartlepool next week.
From Monday to Friday, the New Deal for Communities (NDC) initiative is arranging a series of events designed to give NDC residents the chance to explore a range of different world cultures.
The activities, which are free, include studying Egyptian language, Indian dancing and African drumming, tasting Indian food, and making maracas.
Vanessa Zandani, the NDC resident steering group member who has organised the workshops, said: "The events are designed to highlight and celebrate the rich diversity of different cultures, and to forge closer links between people from all these different backgrounds."
The sessions are suitable for people of all ages, although children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult.
