HOMEWORK help sessions in Stockton are to be increased and moved to an earlier starting time as a result of feedback from youngsters who use them.
The weekly session, which is held in the Open Technology Centre in Stockton Library, will become twice weekly from June 2, when they will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at a new time slot of between 4pm and 6pm.
The sessions were created to help children with their homework and to give them a quiet place to study for their exams.
They offer access to help and advice from a children's librarian and access to IT equipment which they might otherwise not have.
Tony Quantrill, Stockton Borough Council's children and youth services officer, said: "This change is in response to direct feedback from children as to their preferred timings.
"Homework Help Sessions are also available at Roseworth and Thornaby Westbury Street libraries."
