YOUNGSTERS from seven schools will take to a theatre stage for a forthcoming show.
Students from Durham Johnston School will perform alongside those from feeder primary schools in Ian Simmons' tale, The King With Cold Feet, at Durham's Gala Theatre.
The project is aimed at developing the younger performers' drama skills, while enabling all those taking part to experience acting on a professional stage.
A spokesman for Durham Johnston School said: "It is great that our pupils have the chance to perform at the Gala Theatre and we are pleased to be working with our feeder schools in this wonderful production."
Joining Durham Johnston pupils for the show, on June 19 and 20, will be those from Bowburn Junior School, St Margaret's Primary School, Neville's Cross Primary School, Browney Primary School, Langley Moor Primary School, and Shincliffe Primary School.
Tickets are available from the box office on 0191-332 4041.
