VETERAN football coach Sir Bobby Robson has proved he is still fighting fit by pitching in to help removal men.
After selling his £500,000 home in Ipswich, Surrey, which he bought in 1982 when he ran Ipswich Town, the 70-year-old Newcastle United manager hired removal men to shift his belongings.
But as the two professionals were loading things into their van, they found that Sir Bobby could not stop himself from helping out.
He said: "I hired two blokes and I suppose I should have let them get on with it, but I couldn't just stand there and watch them, could I?"
Sir Bobby and his wife sold the house when it became surplus to requirements, following their return to the North-East.
