A STOCKTON school has been chosen for a pilot project where people can make small robots.
Abbey Hill School Technology College in Ketton Road has been chosen to host the National BBC Family Robot Days.
Experts will be helping participants build mini-robots using kits or virtual robots on the BBCi website. Budding robot-makers need not worry if they do not have any design or technology knowledge as college staff will also be there to help out.
"This is meant to be a fun event and we are using the facilities at our resource centre to enable the robots to be designed using the BBC Robot Games CD Rom in the computer suite," said Abbey Hill spokesman David Barlow.
"We will also be working with robot building kits, which have been provided by the BBC."
Family sessions will be held on Tuesdays, from 6pm to 8pm, starting on June 3. There will also be classes for children from local secondary schools on Wednesday afternoons.
