THE work of eight local glass artists went up for auction yesterday.
The artists, whose work ranges from decorative engraved pieces to contemporary stained glass panels, submitted items for an exhibition at the National Glass Centre, in Sunderland, which runs until tomorrow.
Those taking part are members of Cohesion, a group set up to support glass work in the North-East.
They include Claudia Phipps, whose architectural glass can be seen at Seaham Hall Serenity Spa, in Seaham.
She said: "A lot of time and energy goes into making glass pieces, and all the makers are delighted to be involved."
