Wear Valley Ladies League: The League Finals Night was held at Crook Royal Sun, but began with an outstanding semi-final in the Open Singles where June Peyrefitte beat Margaret Lee 2-1. However June's luck did not hold into the final for Valerie Hope whitewashed her.
In the final of the Open Pairs Carol Haygarth and Tracey Thompson took the title when they won the decider to beat Irene Clark and Margaret Storey. In the Final of the Team Knock Out, Howden Sunnydene Lodge whitewashed Hunwick Quarry Burn.
Sunnydene Lodge's successful throwing then left them for they failed to take a point out of Crook Coach and Horses in the Final of the Team Pairs Championship and the suffered a similar fate when they went down without a point against Crook Golden Fleece in the Final of the Team Singles. The Fleece landed their second trophy when they beat Crook Coach and Horse 4-1 in the Final of the four-a-side championship.
The only individual scores of note on the night were 125 by Irene Clark and a 105 check-out from Tracey Thompson.
