Durham Coast League Under-18s: It is unusual for one game to end in a tie but two finished level when four games were played.

Seaham Park ended on 93 for nine which included 34 by Andrew Docherty and for Ryhope Paul Howe was the top wicket taker with figures of four for 16. Replying, Ryhope had plenty of wickets in hand but when the overs expired they managed only 93 for three which included 35 not out by Daniel Clasper and 27 from Paul Howe.

At Dawdon, batting second, were all out for 78 when they replied to the Houghton total of 78 for seven. Jamie Greenwood raised the hopes of Dawdon scoring 30 and Michael Appleby added 26 but when Rawl Karan claimed three wickets for 11 runs, the innings closed.

Batting first, Houghton posted 78 for seven as Ryan Consitt took two wickets for 17 runs and Greenwood three for eight.

Castle Eden overtook the Hylton total of 98 all out with six wickets in hand as Liam Brown scored 26. Christopher Allan (22) and Kibble (25) top performed with the bat for Hylton and in the Castle Eden attack Kelly had figures of three for 15 and Hart three for nine.

Boldon CA visited Peterlee and won by five wickets when required to score 118. Karl Bellerby hit a six and four boundaries in 40 and Gary Fraiter had one six and five fours scoring 56 out of the Boldon total of 118 for five. Graham Pearty took four of the five wickets to fall for just 11 runs in two overs.

Batting first, Peterlee ended with 117 for seven on the board and their top run maker was David Brown who's undefeated 54 included five boundaries. Bellerby was also in form with the ball for Boldon CA taking three wickets for 15 runs in four overs while Brown sent down a similar number of overs in returning two for 24.

Durham Coast League Under-15s

Peterlee found the Ryhope batsmen in top form and went down by 70 runs when faced with a target of 161.

David Millar led the Wearsiders to their healthy total of 150 for one when he batted throughout for an unbeaten 74. After Scott Gibb had departed for 27, Millar found another able partner in Kristian Summerside who finished undefeated on 40 as the pair put together a century partnership for the second wicket.

Despite Dean Malt carrying his bat for 33, Peterlee made only 90 for eight as Summerside took two for eight and Gareth Headley two for 13.

Hylton had just four runs in hand of Boldon CA after making 82 and bowling their visitors out for 78 and runs were also in short supply at Silksworth where Bilky could manage just 37 which included just 20 by Basham. Adam Thompson claimed four wickets for seven runs in 3.1 overs and Craig Gardner had two for 13 from four overs for Silksworth who went on to win without losing a wicket as Craig Nield and Scott Davison scored 38 for the opening partnership.

Murton also found runmakings difficult and they too suffered a ten-wicket defeat when they visited Houghton. Ross Bainbridge claimed three for five in four overs and Nicky Lawson, Rawl Karan and Ryan Furnival all picked up a couple of wickets for Houghton who then replied with 43 without loss as Karan and Lawson defied the Murton bowlers.

Blackhall, newcomers to the league, posted a match winning 115 for four at Seaham Park who were 81 for seven at stumps. Marsh (37) and Krishlow with 36 top performed with the bat for Blackhall and for Seaham Park, Gareth Sutherland took two for 24 before making a top-scoring 23. Krishlow completed a good night when he captured two wickets for 13 in the Blackhall attack.

Fosters Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League

Under -15s

Michael Purvis hit a couple of sixes and five boundaries top scoring with 36 not out as Greenside realised 118 for five in their home fixture with Whickham who managed just 59 for nine.

Robert Bell (26) also batted well for Greenside and in the Whickham attack Bowman took two wickets for ten runs and O'Neill had two for 31 but the best bowling performance of the night came from Greenside's Toby Colledge who conceded only ten runs in five overs taking five wickets.

Marcus Peart carried his bat for 63 reading Burnopfield to a match winning 100 for two against Blaydon who were all out for just 28 as man of the match Peart captured four wickets for only ten runs.

Stephen Allen, Adam Tinnion and Lee McVitie all picked up a couple of wickets in the Burnopfield attack.

Stokoe, with an undefeated 56 and Michael Rourke (23 not out) earned Shotley Bridge a ten wickets victory over Lintz who batted first, totalled only 91 for four and Ryton had just two wickets in hand of Swalwell who's innings produced the reasonable total of 95 for eight which included 38 by Andrew Venus.

Fosters Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League

Under-18s

Whickham had eight wickets with just a couple of balls to spare defeating Burnopfield. Faced with the target of 89, Whickham were indebted to Adam Ainley who struck seven boundaries in an unbeaten 44. Chris Morton gave valuable support with 28.

Batting first, Burnopfield ended with 88 for five on the board and most of the runs came from Marcus Peart whose 36 included one six and four boundaries. Stephen Allan gave support with an undefeated 24 and for Whickham James Davidson had the splendid figures of three for 20 from five overs.

Sacriston overtook the Blaydon total of 97 for two without conceding a wicket. Their match winner with the bat was Lee who hit one six and eight boundaries in 68 not out. Robert Smith did even better for Blaydon, with an undefeated 59 with a couple of sixes and four fours but he ended on the losing side.

Ryton went to Swalwell and won by six wickets. The home side were pegged to 79 for nine mainly by the bowling of Bates with five for 19 and Docherty with two for 20. The two youngsters each bowled five overs for Ryton.

At Greenside Chopwell failed by just four runs to match the home side's total of 90 for six which included no fewer than 55 by Daniel Lintern who recorded two sixes and five fours. Carl Wilkinson, Sam Stephenson and Joe Tiplady all picked up two wickets for Chopwell for whom Adam Tams contributed an unbeaten 56 with one six and six fours.

Lintz defeated Lanchester by ten wickets when Stephen Smith, who plays in the first team, carried his bat for 71 and David Nolan ended unbeaten on 24. Batting first, Lanchester realised 97 for six of which Ripley scored 32 not out and for Lintz Smith captured three wickets for just 14 runs.
