Darlington RA made it third time lucky when they won the Wearside League Cup defeating Birtley Town 3-1 in the final following extra time.
Michael Pitt gave Birtley a half-time lead before Gary Barnes took the tie into additional time during which John Chapman and Steve Johnson scored the goals which started the celebrations.
RA reached the finals of the League's three competitions. They lost to North Shields in the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup and to Wolviston in the Sunderland Shipowners' Cup.
There was consolation for Birtley Town on Monday night when they pipped Wolviston for the championship.
They defeated Whitehaven 3-0 with goals from Carl Pennington, Paul Terrell and Michael Pitt to move above Wolviston with a better goals difference.
One other match was played on Monday when Redcar Town suffered a 5-0 defeat at Jarrow for whom Andrew Bonner scored a hat-trick. Others on target were Dean Patton and Gary Attwell.
