VISITORS to a military museum in were admitted free yesterday as part of a family fun day.
The DLI Association, in conjunction with Durham County Council, held the event in the grounds of the Durham Light Infantry Museum and Durham Art Gallery.
There was a car boot sale in the museum's car park, children's rides, a bouncy castle, face painting, puppets and stalls.
Music was provided by Easington Colliery Brass Band.
Kevin Storey, of the DLI Association, said: "It has always been an enjoyable day, with lots for youngsters and families to see and do, and the added bonus of free entry to the museum.
