At the weekend six triathletes competed at the British Triathlon Championships at Wolverhampton consisting of a run, swim, the length depending on age and a shoot of ten shots. The top six places receiving medals.
All competitors gained personal bests in at least one of the disciplines and in the running overcoming strong windy conditions all performing brilliantly.
Fifteen-year-old Emma Wilson competing in the Youth B category came 13th overall.
Emma was fifth in the swim and 20th and 21st respectively in the run and shoot.
Fifteen-year-old Matthew Sheehan competing in the Youth B boys category came 14th overall, Matthew was seventh in the shoot, 13th in the swim and 22nd in the run.
Two ladies competed in the Ladies Masters category.
Shirley Fawkes picked up a fifth place medal with a fifth place in the shoot, sixth in the run and seventh in the swim.
Gillian Sheehan came 15th, 14th in the shoot, 15th in the run and 16th in the swim.
Two men competed in the Men's Masters.
Guy Fawkes was triumphant picking up a bronze medal coming first in the swim, fifth in the shoot and 10th in the run.
Mark Wilson came 18th overall coming 11th in the swim, 13th in the shoot and 19th in the run.
