VIKING marauders entertained visitors to a charity fundraising event at a North-East castle yesterday.
The Midgard Marauders, from Redcar, east Cleveland, were one of the attractions at Walworth Castle, near Darlington, during a family fun day in aid of the Butterwick Children's Hospice, in Stockton.
Organiser David Poffley said the event had raised thousands of pounds and would be held at the castle next year.
"It's the first time we've done it here and it went absolutely splendidly," he said.
"It didn't rain once and was really well attended. I think there were more than 2,000 here throughout the day."
