A GOAT called Endeavour will line up with some of her four-legged friends at Thirsk racecourse.
She will be among the star turns at a special evening meeting at the racecourse on Monday, June 2.
The meeting is being staged as part of Herriot Happenings - a week-long celebration of Herriot country. Staged by the Herriot Country Attractions Group, the 18 members are hosting a range of events from dog shows and plant fairs to a car rally and snail racing. Among those taking part is the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum in Great Ayton where staff will be manning a special display at the meeting and asking visitors to guess how many days Captain Cook's goat spent at sea.
